Re: Tim Burton and Alice in Wonderland
Sat, December 22, 2007 - 11:29 AMAwesome. Tim Burton really let me down with his past flops, he can make it all up to me with this! -

Re: Tim Burton and Alice in Wonderland
Sat, December 22, 2007 - 3:01 PMWell he certainly did a good job of Disnifying The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
He could at least have filmed it in upstate New York.
I don't take kindly to people taking Liberties with Literature!

Re: Tim Burton and Alice in Wonderland
Wed, December 26, 2007 - 6:46 PMFingers crossed. We saw Sweeney Todd today and enjoyed it all to bits.
This begs the question: who will Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter play? -
-
Re: Tim Burton and Alice in Wonderland
Thu, December 27, 2007 - 5:20 PMHelena will have to be the Queen of Hearts and Johnny will have to be the Mad Hatter. It just can't be done any other way! (-: -

Re: Tim Burton and Alice in Wonderland
Fri, December 28, 2007 - 1:59 AMHa ha! You are right, Supreme! Johnny would make an especially good Mad Hatter, I think. -

Re: Tim Burton and Alice in Wonderland
Sat, December 29, 2007 - 8:41 PMWell he's got the nose for it.
Not to appear disrespectful, but I'd suggest he's a talented actor in danger of becoming one of those who always seems to play HIMSELF.
Think how John Wayne was always John Wayne in every movie!
Of course Depp'd be steller as the hatter - he could borrow the headgear from Tom Petty -
but imagine if he got more daring.
The Dutchess just for example, or both Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum using some special FX..
The Cheshire cat, whatever! -

Re: Tim Burton and Alice in Wonderland
Sun, December 30, 2007 - 5:29 PMAh, the Tom Petty video. I dreamt the other rooms to that growing up...
An extra cup o' tea for the first one to name the actress Alice, and where else she's known. :)

Re: Tim Burton and Alice in Wonderland
Mon, December 31, 2007 - 4:21 PMJohnny has supposedly always wanted to play a woman in a movie....maybe he will be Alice...that would be freaky and way cool!

Re: Tim Burton and Alice in Wonderland
Sat, December 29, 2007 - 8:46 PMBy the way there is link within a link in the lead post of this thread..
It references a film by Svanmajer named "Alice"
here it is:
www.amazon.com/exec/obido...ndoutint-20
I suspect this film has already been discussed elsewhere in this tribe?
It's a 'must see' if you'd care to see Alice in dreamtime.. -
